The Tax & Compliance Officer is responsible for handling tax-related matters and coordination with relevant tax authorities. This role ensures timely submission of tax returns, proper documentation, and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. The position requires regular external coordination and strong communication skills to support the company’s tax and compliance obligations.
- Handle tax-related matters including tax returns, stamp duty, and documentation.
- Liaise with tax offices and coordinate with tax officers for tax related processes
- Visit relevant government departments as required to support compliance and documentation processes.
- Prepare, review, and submit tax-related documents accurately and on time.
- Provide document support and follow up on approvals or clarifications with authorities.
- Carry out daily external duties related to business and compliance requirements.
- Maintain proper records and documentation related to tax and compliance activities.
- Perform any other duties related to tax and compliance as assigned by management.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (or) Diploma in Accounting LCCI Level 3 (UK)
- Approximately 3 years of experience in an Accountant role.
- Practical experience in tax-related matters is required.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Email.
- Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with government authorities.
- Willingness to travel externally on a daily basis for work-related matters.
- Able to work in Ahlone Township, Yangon.
