The Finance Manager / Chief Accountant is responsible for leading the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective control systems, and full compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures. This role oversees the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, and statutory reports while providing strategic financial insights to support management decisions.
Job Description

- Prepare and present periodic management reports, including financial statements, performance analysis, and projection reports.
- Liaise and coordinate with internal departments, external stakeholders, and government authorities to ensure proper communication and compliance.
- Prepare and submit statutory financial reports to the relevant authorities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review and verify financial reports submitted by senior account executives from related projects.
- Generate and analyze aging reports for accounts receivable and payable.
- Oversee and monitor accounting systems, internal procedures, and compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
- Review and ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
- Lead and participate in budgeting and forecasting processes to support business planning.
- Support the Department Head in establishing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cash management and accounting operations.
- Highlight key financial outcomes of major operational transactions and coordinate with respective operation teams for necessary actions.
- Assist in preparing financial presentations for Board of Directors (BOD) and shareholders’ meetings.
- Support the Department Head in implementing and maintaining effective debtor and creditor management systems for relevant business units.
- Contribute to performance evaluations of individuals and departmental teams as part of the appraisal process.
- Participate in the implementation and enhancement of accounting and operational software systems.
- Carry out any other ad-hoc tasks or special assignments assigned by the management or Department Head.
Requirement

- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CPA or ACCA Part II qualification preferred.
- 3–5 years’ experience as a Finance Manager or Chief Accountant, preferably in the hotel industry.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, analysis, and taxation.
- Proficient in Advanced Excel and accounting systems (MYOB/SAP).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Able to travel to project sites when required.
