Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the maintenance staff on a daily basis. Direct, coordinate, and perform routine, preventive, and emergency interior/exterior maintenance and repairs to obtain optimum efficiency within the given budget.
- Direct the Engineering staff, accounting/budgeting, asset protection, inventory control, and human resources.
- Participate in departmental meetings and shift line-ups.
- Represent the Engineering Department during the daily HOD morning meetings.
- Prioritize, plan, schedule, assign, and supervise the Engineering Department staff.
- Oversee maintenance tasks, work orders, and special projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Respond to guests’ maintenance needs promptly and ensure guests receive professional, efficient, prompt, and courteous service according to hotel standards.
- Maximize the maintenance team’s potential with a balanced focus on operations, guests, employees, and owner satisfaction.
- Ensure proper records are maintained relating to all plant and equipment for the hotel, including repair and service records.
- Ensure that stores have adequate stocks of materials, equipment, and tools and are kept in a clean and safe environment.
- Take responsibility for the cleanliness and safety aspects of all plant, mechanical, and electrical equipment rooms.
- Attend all facility management/property meetings as required, passing on necessary information to the maintenance team during regular junior staff meetings.
- Ensure the proper use and periodic maintenance of all equipment.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly property document inspections.
- Ensure the property, grounds, physical plant, and work areas are maintained to standard and that all safety equipment and conditions are coded.
- Ensure maintenance staff wear proper uniforms with name tags and uphold hotel grooming and hygiene standards.
- Be responsible for quality service, meeting/exceeding fiscal goals, short-term and long-term planning, and day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science, Diploma, or college degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of the Engineering field in the hotel industry.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a hotel Engineering Department.
- Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering, with a positive attitude, good communication skills, and a commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
- Able to work at Ngwe Saung Beach, Ayeyarwady Division.
