Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine technical health checks on broadcast machinery and equipment inside the Central Equipment Room (CER) and active studios to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the daily broadcast program by verifying that all advertisements, promotional spots, and main program content are transmitted correctly and according to schedule.
  • Manage, synchronize, and coordinate incoming external live feeds to ensure that outside broadcast content is aired smoothly and on time.
  • Provide technical assistance to on-air presenters and DJs to maintain a stable studio environment and minimize playback risks.
  • Collect, organize, and archive daily on-air audio recordings in secure storage libraries for documentation and compliance tracking.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronic Engineering / Electrical Power Engineering), Bachelor of Computer Science, or any Graduate degree with an AGTI Diploma (Electronics / Electrical Power). No prior broadcast experience is required. Passionate fresh graduates and entry-level candidates with a technical background who are eager to learn are highly encouraged to apply, as extensive on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of audio mixers and audio signal flow principles, or a strong passion and willingness to quickly learn these technical concepts on the job.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of and ability to operate Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), such as Adobe Audition or similar audio editing tools.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly, remain calm under pressure, and make correct, level-headed decisions during sudden live technical issues or emergencies.

Operational Adaptability

  • Demonstrate full willingness and ability to adapt to a shift-based work routine, with flexibility to work primarily night shifts based on the station’s broadcast timeline (5:00 AM – 11:00 PM).
  • Be available for overnight duties (night shifts) at the studio, with dedicated rest periods and sleeping arrangements provided on-site.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work double shifts (back-to-back shifts) on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays as assigned, with compensatory weekdays off provided in return.
  • Work comfortably and productively within a temperature-controlled, air-conditioned studio/office environment.
  • Demonstrate good teamwork and collaboration skills, a proactive attitude toward learning new technical workflows, and good written and verbal English communication skills.
